Wind

My novel, Wind, is finally released in paperback. Ebook will come next month.
Wind is a historical epic fantasy story of pursuing the person you were created to become.
It carries the same core theme as all my writing but in narrative form: connecting with God and living well in the face of eternity.
Wind combines imaginative storytelling, memorable characters, and deeply rooted spiritual themes. Set in a kingdom balanced between imperfect guardians and scary creatures that haunt the darkness, the story follows Sabien of Oakridge, a young man pursuing two seemingly impossible dreams: building his own farm and becoming one of the guardians who protect his people.
One dream is economically out of reach. The other is socially unattainable. Then the impossible happens. But as both dreams unexpectedly begin to come true, they collide in ways Sabien never imagined. The farm he fought to build demands everything he has, while the calling he longs for demands that he give it all away. Then a rising insurrection threatens to destroy both dreams.
Joined by Marie, the love of his life, he ventures beyond every boundary he has known. He must confront fears that strike at the core of who he is and face multiple layers of opposition that aim to crush him and everything he lives for.
Internal conflict, sibling rivalry, and widespread rebellion converge with love, danger, and sacrifice. Sabien is forced to confront hard questions about identity, calling, and destiny: What is your calling in life? Who has the Creator made you to be? How much desire do you have? What price will you pay? How much will you risk? And how much hardship and pain will you endure?
It’s a morally clean read, but it does contain violence. Through the story you may identify with its timeless truths about identity, longing, faith, courage, perseverance, and personal growth.
